The current program was conducted during the Covid-19 Pandemic with very different settings:

Our training sessions were all online including mentoring sessions during Aug.-Dec. 2021.

Trainees are students and staff from different universities as well as working professionals
-
The program is long (5 months) and training time is challenging (weekend and evenings) to fit all trainees’ schedules especially for those who have classes and day jobs and family engagements
-
Trainees' backgrounds and demographics are very diverse. See Fig 9-11 for analytics of trainees’ background

Over 60% of trainees were not proficient in English speaking

Over 80% of trainees were poor in structured presentations

“You are the reason behind my success.
After finishing STEAM Platform’s Strategic Communication Training in Dec 2021, I applied for Leader Innovation Fellowships (LIF) programme 2022 supported by NSTDA (Thailand) and the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK). The LIF programme brings together emerging leaders who have an engineering-based innovation that has the potential to contribute to the social and economic development of their country through commercialisation. I’m one of nine successful applicants offered funding among 30 innovations submitted from Thailand. This funding gives me an incredible opportunity to scale up my innovation and build an international network in the UK. A small change can make a big output. Thank you very much for giving me the chance to join and learn in your program to improve my strategic communication skills.
